Frances Tsalas is a self-taught makeup artist based in Chicago. Frances’ love for all things fashion, fine arts and music started at a very early age. Being from a family with an affinity to music, art and the theater, she was exposed to some major influences early in her life which grew and was cultivated with time. Frances started her makeup journey with M.A.C cosmetics back in 1993, where she learned from the best of the best in the makeup world. She believes in challenging herself to learn and grow as an artist. She is a Mastered alumna of The Val Garland School of Make-Up, and has attended seminars taught by Alex Box, Reggie Wells, Beau Nelson, Patti Dubroff, to name a few. Frances has worked with legendary photographers Victor Skrebneski, Simon Perry, Don Flood, Race Willard and others. Frances has worked with actors, celebrities and supermodels. When working with Frances you will notice her years of expertise, in her flawless application as she is known for her clean beauty and her ability to copy or create any makeup look from any time period. Her calm demeanor puts her models and clients at ease.
